1 Be sure all seams and stitches are secure. Please correct any wavy or ruffled borders
2 Trim all loose threads. They can get caught and show through on light fabrics
3 Iron your top and backing with seams pressed open or to one side
4 Your quilt should not be basted, pinned or tacked. Remove any of this before bringing quilt in - or mailing it
5 If you have a pieced border or bias edges on the outside of your quilt, please stay-stitch 1/4" from edge to provide
more stability
6 Make sure your backing is 4" larger on all sides than your top. Example: if your quilt is 60 x 60 your backing
should be 68 x 68.
7 Please do not supply bedsheets for backing. The higher thread count can cause skipped stitches
8 If backing is seamed, remove the selvedge and make sure sides are straight. Best results are obtained if backing is
seamed from top to bottom
9 Include your binding fabric if we are to attach binding
10 Mark the front, top center edge of the quilt with a safety pin or tape
11 Fullness or puckers pieced into the quilt top or wavy or ruffled borders cannot necessarily be quilted out. We will
do our best, but quilts with these problems may still have these problems after quilting.
12 If you have specific ideas how you would like your quilt done, please bring or send sketches or pictures
